This March, the Dreads Come Off for Epilepsy
It feels like the right time to part with the dreads; before becoming a dad, returning to footy and most importantly- March being Epilepsy Awareness Month.Before they go, I thought I’d try to raise some money for Epilepsy Australia so that hopefully one day treatments and cures can be developed.
March is Epilepsy awareness month in Australia and definitely needs more attention. 1 in 26 people are diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime.
Epilepsy has affected our lives for over 9 years now- and the impact on not only physical health, but mental health, confidence, work, and social life is something we never expected. Epilepsy can be isolating and scary. We are so grateful for the amazing, supportive and understanding people in our lives. So, keeping this in mind, it’s not about just raising money- but awareness.
If you’re able to donate, anything at all would be hugely appreciated and will go toward supporting people living with epilepsy and ongoing research through the Epilepsy Foundation.
I don’t want any more attention than this fundraiser, so I will post a pic once they’re gone by the end of March- stay tuned! ✂️🫣
