My Epilepsy Warrior 💜
Monday 10th MarMy son Charlie, began his journey with epilepsy in October 2023, when he experienced his first tonic-clonic seizure. It was an incredibly traumatic time for us, as Charlie was without oxygen for 7 hours, and doctors were preparing to intubate him. Thankfully, after being transferred to Sydney Children's Hospital, he recovered incredibly from the seizure.
In addition to epilepsy, Charlie also manages Type 1 diabetes, but that hasn't stopped him from enjoying life to the fullest. He’s in year 1 at school and absolutely loves school.
Charlie also loves his baby brother that’s just turned 1, their bond is like no other!
Charlie faced another seizure in September 2024 and also suffering from absent seizures.
His resilience and spirit are truly inspiring, and his family couldn't be prouder of how he continues to overcome challenges with a smile. 💜
