Hero Mission: We are saving the day this March for the 270,000 people in Australia facing the challenges of epilepsy by participating in Make March Purple.
Our beautiful sassy daughter Charlotte Ivy grew her angel wings 03-11-2022 at 13 years old.
Char was diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 5 but it wasn't until 2019 where her seizures became uncontrollable and she was having upwards of 10 Tonic Clonic Seizures per week especially in her sleep which impacted every aspect of her young life and our families life.
We spent a lot of time in hospitals, with many tests and investigations which unfortunately didn't lead us to any clear answers. Char took it all in her stride and never let it stop her. Char had a wicked sense of humour and wasn't backwards in coming forwards.
Char loved dancing, gymnastics, dolls, music, make up, her quad bike, her iPad, antique cars, animals and her dogs. She has touched a lot of people in her short 13 years on earth with her huge grin and left hand dimple.
Char passed away from suspected SUDEP which stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, similar to sids in babies. The danger of SUDEP is higher when people have nocturnal seizures. We are raising awareness for Epilepsy and the heartbreaking side of Epilepsy SUDEP.
