my name is Bronwyn Williams i was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2004 i believe Epilepsy awareness should be all year round not just a certain time of the year it is important, and we are compassionate about Epilepsy and raise awareness to educate and talk about Epilepsy amongst the community and other people to know what a seizure is, what a seizure looks like especially when recording a seizure, it is important to record the correct information if a seizure occurs and what to do when seizure occurs.
Never feel embarrassed to say you have Epilepsy or talk about it.
there is always someone to talk to especially online groups which found very supportive. we are strong and purple warriors, Quote never give up we never did, always stay strong positive and have hope.
We went from being a negative person to a positive and strong person so proud of the person we have become if anything Having epilepsy has made us a stronger person. Quote a positive mind is the key to good health.
when we look at any person everyone has a story to tell talk and share your story,
Epilepsy Effects friend’s family caregivers loved ones not just the person them selves’.
do not restrain a person who is having a seizure a person may become agitated or harm the person. Stay with person keep calm if in doubt call an ambulance.
Epilepsy Action has supported many people by offering their services and resources programs online courses and support when needed.
There has inspired us to raise awareness by educating ourselves on more about seizures and Epilepsy, there is always something new to learn about it could be the smallest thing. there are websites lots of information on different sites epilepsy action Australia www.epilepsy.org.au
before I had my first seizure in 2002 I wished I knew about Epilepsy and seizures prior to my very first seizure as I didn't know what was happening to me. I was very emotional and scared because of the seizure.
Which came to the conclusion that my childhood event had caused my seizures.
Thank you for your support!
