Make March Purple is an annual initiative that raises awareness and funds to support people living with epilepsy in Australia. In 2026, the theme is ‘Muck Up for Epilepsy’, which challenges participants to step outside their comfort zones, get a little messy, and stand with the 270,000 Australians whose lives are mucked up by epilepsy.
You are encouraged to take on the Purple Muck Challenge or create your own purple-themed fundraiser to show your support. All funds raised are donated to the development and delivery of vital epilepsy support services, education and training, and research into finding a cure.
About Epilepsy Tasmania
Epilepsy Tasmania is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been improving the quality of life of Tasmanians with epilepsy, and those around them, through education, coordination and support for over 50 years.
Epilepsy Tasmania is committed to bringing epilepsy out of the shadows and breaking down the stigma and discrimination associated with epilepsy in Tasmania.
Its vision is to ensure all Tasmanians who have epilepsy have the same opportunities as the broader community.
Its statewide services and support include: Epilepsy Friendly Workplace training, Epilepsy Smart School training, Epilepsy Connect peer support, Open Gardens for Epilepsy fundraising and awareness.

- Set your fundraising goal, upload a profile picture and complete your bio.
- Share your fundraising page with family, friends and colleagues, and encourage them to support your efforts by donating to your page.

- During March, complete your Purple Challenge. Be sure to share any photos or videos on social media and tag the epilepsy organisation you are supporting. Use the hashtags:
