Embracing purple: supporting epilepsy awareness month
Tuesday 25th Feb March is a special month for rasing awareness about epilepsy, a condition that affects over 270,000 Australians. The make March campaign is an annual initiative that encourages everyone to show thier support for people living with epilepsy by participating in various activities and events. This year let’s come together to make a difference and celebrate the strength and resilience of those like me who are affected by epilepsy.Why make March purple in Queensland?
Epilepsy is a neurological condition that can affect anyone regardless of age,sex,gender,race etc. by participating in the make March purple campaign we can help raise awareness, reduce stigma and support vital reaserch and services for people like me living with epilepsy. The theme for this year is be a purple hero. Celebrating the everyday hero’s who face challenges of epilepsy with courage and determination.
